I need to remind myself that the shops are just a kilometre down the road. The train station is just 3km away. They are in walking distance. I must find the time to walk there. It’s these little things that add up to big things.
We rely on our cars too much. A simple trip to the shops just a kilometre away and for the sake of convenience, I drive there. I usually have my little boy with me and I don’t like to take him outside in the strong elements, but there are plenty of times when I can and should walk there that I don’t. I will be more mindful of this in the coming weeks. It will be easier as we reach the end of summer. Not that there has been much of a summer in Melbourne this year.
